Leave your mark on the Valley View Park mural.

The Valley View Park Mural Project is a community-led initiative by Friends of Valley View Park and Valley View Neighborhood Association, transforming a 230-yard overlooked wall along the White Rock Creek Trail into a vibrant, welcoming gateway.

More than just art, this mural will celebrate the park’s natural beauty, strengthen community pride, and increase safety by bringing positive activity and visibility to the space. Located in Valley View Neighborhood, beside The Woods at Valley View Park, this project is part of a broader effort to activate and care for one of North Dallas’ most unique green spaces. As community use increases, unwanted activity decreases. This mural is designed to draw families, walkers, and neighbors into the park—creating a safer, more connected environment.

Leave your legacy in Valley View Park. This is a one-time opportunity to help transform this space into a lasting community landmark.

Meet the Artist

The Valley View Park mural will be created by Joel Cruz, a Texas-based artist raised in Plano. Joel is a self-taught muralist whose work is rooted in creativity, resilience, and community connection. After refining his style in San Diego, he developed a bold approach to large-scale public art that transforms everyday spaces into meaningful, engaging environments. As a husband, father, and proud member of the North Dallas community, Joel brings care and purpose to every project—creating art that brings people together and leaves a lasting impact.
